Curricular Proposal


The current Curricular Structure of the Program, following its Proposal, encompasses two Areas of Concentration: Biblical Theology and Systematic-Pastoral Theology.

The Area of Biblical Theology has a single line of research: Analysis and Interpretation of Old and New Testament Texts, with 08 projects.

The Area of Systematic-Pastoral Theology has two research lines: 1) Religion and Modernity, with 13 projects; and 2) Faith and Culture, with 10 projects.

In accordance with the lines and projects, there are the Master's and Doctoral courses offered by the Program.

To conclude the doctorate, the student must complete 45 credits over the first 24 months. In the distribution of the credits, at least 30 credits must be taken within the area of concentration to which he/she is linked, and 15 credits in elective courses. Completion of the discipline "Doctoral Seminar" is compulsory. The student may request to take advantage of credits in graduate courses up to a maximum of 30 credits.

To conclude the master's degree, the student must complete 24 credits over the first 12 months. In the distribution of the credits, at least 15 credits must be taken within the area of concentration to which he/she is linked, and 9 credits in elective courses. The discipline "Master's Seminar" is compulsory. The student may request to take advantage of credits in graduate courses up to a maximum of 9 credits.
