The "Teologia PUC-Rio Series" was created with the aim of publishing the most outstanding Theses and Dissertations of the Post-Graduation Programs of the Theology Department of PUC-Rio. The publications are made in partnership with the Publishing Houses PUC-Rio and Vozes Academica.
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION OF TEXTS FOR PUBLICATION
1. The selection of theses and dissertations for the PUC-Rio Theology Series will take place annually, and it is up to the Director to establish the number of theses and dissertations to be published that year.
2. The Coordination of the Program shall establish the process and the deadline for nomination and submission of theses and dissertations (Systematic-Pastoral and Biblical).
3. Each supervising professor who wishes to participate in this selection process will be responsible for indicating a maximum of one thesis and one dissertation per year.
4. The theses and dissertations approved by the examining board with conditions or suggestions for changes recorded in the Defense Minutes cannot be nominated.
5. After the deadline for nominations of theses and dissertations, the Special Committee of the Department of Theology shall establish an Evaluation Committee, composed of at least three professors.
6. The Evaluation Committee will have the following duties:
a) Verify the adequacy of the theses and dissertations enrolled to the criteria and the high level of quality required for the Series.
b) Decide for the declassification of the registered theses and dissertations, if they do not meet the defined selection criteria.
c) Select the thesis(es) and dissertation(s) to be published.
7. Preferably, the advisors of the competing theses and dissertations should not participate in the evaluation commission. Particular cases will be judged by the Special Committee, in the act of establishing the aforementioned committee.

Although the announcement foresaw the publication of two theses, after consultation and authorization from the Department's direction, the Commission selected the Theses and Dissertations:
